I made a request that we visit the town of Lagos which is west of Albufeira because I have heard of the beautiful landscape here. Unfortunately, because of a logistical problem only I brought the car out to go around because there weren’t options for accommodating all of us to go around. I guess the kids would not be too thrilled to see scenery anyway so I just thought that I should go take my photos and come back immediately. The area in Ponta da Piedade was larger than I thought. It seems that this whole area is beautiful and there are multiple trails which visitors can explore.
The coast in this part of the Algarve is particularly scenic and I can tell. The cliffs here have brilliant shades of yellow which I have never seen before. There are also small islands just off the coast which reminds me of the a feature called the Twelve Apostles which is in Australia. The color of the sea is also very beautiful with the blue of the sea mixing in with some yellow sediment from the coast, it paints a very colorful landscape. The only blight on this idyllic landscape is the presence of numerous kayaks and boats which tourists use to explore the area. I know I will be doing that in the next few days but I still can’t help but be disappointed seeing the large number of people there.
