The Venetian is one of the most well known of the hotels at the Las Vegas Strip. Granted that there are several very well known hotels here, but The Venetian is one of the ones which I knew about. What fascinated me about the hotel is the Venice theme they adopted when building the hotel. When one thinks of Venice, one thinks of the canals and of course the gondolas. Of course, you won’t be able to find a canal here in the middle of the desert but the hotel made the next best thing.
The hotel was designed with a water feature which goes along the front of the hotel and I assume also to the inside of the hotel. I haven’t entered the hotel yet but I know that I have seen photos of the gondola inside the hotel. There are several gondola parked outside the hotel and visitors can ride them for a fee. They even have gondolier who would even sing while rowing. This is something that you would see in the actual Venice. I imagine that it is hard to be do this while rowing but it seem that they have trained for this. The pool itself looks very attractive with it’s blue green water, also reminiscent of Venice.
