In my walking along the Strip at Las Vegas, I have seen various types of hotel casinos. I ended up at the Shops at Crystals which seems to be a high end shopping center which is part of the Aria Resort and Casino. I can’t really say if there is any theme here. Almost all of the hotel casinos that I have visited all the some sort of theme. This is probably the first one that doesn’t seem to have any. Maybe being high end is their theme? The Shops at Crystals really feels high end. There are expensive shops here with Gucci being one of the most prominent ones.
Apart from the shops, the design of the shopping center is also quite high end. There are public sculptures and art here. One of the things which caught my interest is the water based art installation which features columns of glass filled with water. The water is spun at a high rate such that it produces a tiny whirlpool of various sizes inside the glass columns. I thought that this was a nice place to hang out in since there aren’t as many people here compared to the other malls.
