I was thoroughly enjoying touring the Luxor Hotel and I was making my way back to where I parked the car. I thought this would be the most efficient way of exploring the strip compared to crisscrossing the road as I make my way down the strip. So I would look at everything on one side and cross the street, then make my way back. Fortunately, there is a monorail from Luxor Hotel to my next destination. It wasn’t far, in fact, it is just at the next lot but there is a lot of space here at the strip and the hotel complexes are very large. Just walking across one of them would take a few minutes. In the summer heat, it might as well be an hour.
The hotel right next to Luxor Hotel is the Excalibur Hotel. I actually passed by this hotel earlier but it was only because I was on my way to Luxor Hotel that I didn’t look at the place first. As the name would imply, the Excalibur Hotel has a King Arthur kind of theme. The outside of the hotel looks a lot like the fairy tale castles that you would see in media. I don’t think I have seen English castles that have pointy tops like these. I did see them elsewhere in Europe and I would have to agree that their choice of castle design looks better like this.
