I somehow totally missed one of the major infrastructures in Las Vegas, which is the Las Vegas Monorail. The longest one is actually hidden behind the buildings so I didn’t realize that there was one there. I did manage to find the one going from Excalibur to Mandalay Bay. The monorail ride was uneventful as all monorail rides are. It passes by the Luxor Hotel and Casino and ends at Mandalay Bay Hotel. I know that Mandalay Bay Hotel is quite well known but somehow I didn’t see too much of it. I basically ended up at the casino and then followed the signs to go back where I came from.
Fortunately, much of the way is covered and there are shops along the way, so I didn’t notice how much I was walking. One of the more unique hotels and casinos here is the Luxor Hotel and Casino. As the name implies, the Luxor Hotel and Casino has an Egyptian theme. And nothing can be more Egyptian than the pyramids. I actually saw it from the outside as I was riding the monorail. I will certainly take photos of it when I get the chance, but for now, I would like to see how it looks from the inside.
