From the outside, the Miracle Mile Shops didn’t look too interesting. But I went in anyway because it was so hot outside. This place doesn’t ring a bell as far as major places to visit in the Strip at Las Vegas but I will take it. I initially thought that this was a rather generic shopping mall built mainly to make sure that they have shopping component to their hotel casino complex. Indeed it wasn’t a very good first impression since it was really that uninspiring. However, I kept walking and things started changing.
The interiors were darker in this section and the architecture of the shops were also very different. It reminded me of Arab designs I would see on television. The ceiling is dark here as it tries to go with what I call an Arabian Nights kind of feeling. I think it would be appropriate since Las Vegas itself is in the Mojave Desert, of course it is not in Arabia but details. If you have the energy to do so, the Miracle Mile Shops boasts of more than a mile of walking for shops. That’s a lot of walking. It makes this one of the largest shopping malls in Las Vegas and that says a lot since there are several very large shopping malls here.
