I was glad to have finally arrived at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I was surprised to find out how difficult it was to get from the South Rim to the North Rim. I probably just didn’t have any idea just how big the Grand Canyon is. Building a bridge from one rim to the other is almost impossible so to go from one rim to another one would need drive three hours. As a result, exploring both rims would take at least two days, one day for each side. Some people would want to stay longer here. The North Rim isn’t as developed as the South Rim and thus is doesn’t as much facilities.
I was checking out if it is possible to stay at the North Rim so I don’t have to drive so far but accommodations weren’t that plentiful. One of these places to stay in is right beside the visitor center. The Grand Canyon Lodge at the North Rim is probably the premiere place to stay at the North Rim. It is a historic hotel build right at the end of the cliff and it has magnificent scenery. There are also smaller cottages here for visitors to stay in and I think they are very rustic. I would love to experience staying here but it seems that slots run out very quickly especially during the summer.
