Although it was still mid-afternoon, I didn’t have the luxury of time. I was trying to make my way out of the South Rim to go to where I would be spending the night and that it still two hours away. I know that it is summer and the days would be longer so I shouldn’t have to be worried about driving in the dark. However, I just don’t want to have deal with it in case of any delay. Speaking of delay, I was causing my own delay because I keep seeing signs to viewpoints which are usually worth visiting.
I think I am making more use of the time because I am driving now whereas I was just walking earlier, which obviously would be slower. There are numerous viewpoints along the South Rim and some of these are known for spots for viewing sunrises or sunsets. It is a pity I don’t have time since I would have loved to see at least one of them here. The colors would have been amazing. To find these viewpoints, you only need to keep driving and keep an eye out for the signs. The signs would be very prominent and you would have enough time to prepare to turn into the road leading to the viewpoint. My next stop is Moran Point.
