The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is very well developed. There are numerous establishments that cater to tourists, hotels, restaurants and the like. I like how it isn’t over-developed as it may sometimes happen. You still get the feeling of wildness here that over-development will ruin. Thus, it is not surprising that most people would end up finding their way to the South Rim. However, this is not the only thing that makes the South Rim this well developed. Over the years, there are numerous view points that have been discovered which will showcase the beauty of the Grand Canyon. Although a lot of these places are hard to get to, there are many that are just a short drive away.
I was planning on visiting these spots as I try to make my way back to where I will be spending the night at. I tried to go to the end of the blue tourist line but I can’t seem to find it no matter how I try. Although the roads are signposted, I ended up not finding the place and just thought to just visit whatever I can find. I decided to make my way out of the South Rim. But it turns out that there are several view points along the way. This would be a great compromise since I can’t find the one I was originally looking for. I was driving towards the general direction of the North Rim and the first stop I found is Grandview Point.
