Quincy Market was part of a list of must visit places here in Boston. Although I didn’t really specifically planned on visiting the place and somehow ended up going to a place which apparently was near Quincy Market. I like how walkable the city of Boston is and I think that is how I managed to find my way here without even meaning to. It looks like it is much more lively here this area. I know it is near the waterfront and there are usually a lot of establishments near the waterfront. Quincy Market isn’t really right by the water but it probably doesn’t matter. What matters is what is inside the building.
I thought that Quincy Market was just a market place, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that is actually a long foot court. There are numerous stalls here which line both sides of the long building. Of course, there are Boston favorites most significantly, lobster sandwich. I thought it was too early for me to have dinner and I didn’t want to spoil it by having dinner here. I held back and just continued walking. At the center of the long building is an atrium which has a dome above it. The dome seems to be a popular feature of old buildings here in the city. Curiously, the dome is elliptical and not circular. I don’t think I have seen something like that before. Around the atrium, I can see that there is a second floor here and there are seats. I didn’t intend to eat here so I just kept walking. Ultimately, this is probably the largest concentration of food stalls that I have seen in the city. It is a great place to go to if you want a cheap and quick bite to eat here in the city. This is even better if there are a lot of you, there will be more choices for everyone.
