I have been to the Giant’s Causeway a few times but I would normally just follow the established trail when visiting. Usually, we would be bringing visitors around and we would do the whole tourist route. I never really paid much attention to the various places within the Giant’s Causeway. Yes, apparently, there are other named places here. You can see more details on the map they have on the trail. Portnaboe is the first place people visit here. It is that small bay just as visitors start their walk.
The coast here are the Giant’s Causeway is basically a series of small bays. The next bay is called Port Ganny. Here, you can see that there are more signs of the signature rock formations of the Giant’s Causeway. They are officially called columnar jointed volcanics. They are not yet as spectacular as the main site but you can get a feel that it is already gathering a little bit of steam. Like the previous area, this is also very rocky and just not that interesting to walk to. The waves are also crashing here, discouraging all but the most foolhardy visitors to approach the area.
