It was a rare lovely day in Ireland and I thought that I should make the most of it and go somewhere. I thought to visit the Pollet Sea Arch which I heard has a brand new walkway after being closed for a while. The walkway was built with the help of the county council and it is all to help share this unique place with the rest of the country. The walkway is at the end of the road when driving in. If drive and see the walkway, then you have driven too far in because there is no parking here. Once you leave the car in the new parking area, you can start walking down towards the sea.
The walkway itself isn’t that great, it is basically a dirt path which is fenced off from the surrounding farmland. The fence looks nice and sturdy. They even built seats into the fence for people who need to rest along the way. It is a bit of a walk, especially if you are trying to make your way back up but you don’t need to rush since the sea arch isn’t going anywhere. Along the way, you might see some of the farm animals like horses and, of course, sheep. Try to be quiet when walking here as you do not want to disturb the farm animals. The walkway is built over private land so it is best to be respectful when using it.
