Visiting the Pantheon in Paris was a pleasant surprise for me. The church-turned-mausoleum houses the remains of the heroes of the French revolution. I was surprised to know at least two names of people who are buried here. No doubt that Victor Hugo and Alexandrew Dumas are well known beyond France, it was nice to know that I wasn’t entirely clueless about this. After a bit of exploring around the catacombs of the Pantheon, I decided to head back outside. I think that I shouldn’t linger too long since I know there is so much to see here. Additionally, the days are shorter when I visited so I needed to make the most of the clear skies I was given.
I then realized that I haven’t really taken a photo of the Pantheon in its entirety. Earlier, I was too close to the Pantheon that I could only photograph the entrance. I needed to move back further so I can capture the dome which rises above the main building. It does remind me a lot of the capitol building in the US, except that this is in Paris. Already, I can see that the shadows are getting longer here so I needed to keep moving.
