Amazing Stained Glass Windows at the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris

The Sainte-Chappelle is one of Paris’ most visited attractions. I learned about this place years back but I never got to visit it the first time. I probably wouldn’t have been able to visit anyway because the queues are said to be very long. Since, it is still technically pandemic time, there aren’t as many international visitors, especially from East Asia where there are a lot of tour groups which tend to create the long queues. From what I have seen so far, traveling has been quite pleasant with this reduced number of visitors. I know that smaller number of visitors would mean less business but it is also better for the city at least in my opinion.

Sainte-Chappelle is located in an island in the center of Paris. The Île de la Cité is a small island formed by the river Seine. It is also here where the kings of France also built their palaces. The Palais de la Cité is the palace complex that was built here over the years. The Sainte-Chapelle is just a part of this entire complex. I think I would see more of this as I have a lot more time here. I don’t really have much planned after Sainte-Chapelle so I think I would get to see more of this place. As you can see from the photos, the Sainte-Chapelle is truly special.
