I was finally in Paris in the final leg of my trip to this region of France. It is also from Paris that I would be flying out. I would prefer that I get a few days in the city before flying out. I don’t want to get back to work feeling very tired like I didn’t go for a vacation. By staying in one place for the last few days, I hope that it would be a bit more relaxing for me. However, that doesn’t mean that I won’t be going around Paris, or even outside Paris. One of the places which was in my list for my very first trip to France was the city of Chartres.
I wanted to go to Chartres before but we didn’t really have a lot of time back then. This time, I was traveling alone, I have total control over my schedule so I was able to add this to my itinerary for this trip. Chartres is outside of Paris but there is a train to get there. One problem was that I needed to go to a different station to get there. Based on the map, I needed to got to the metro station Montparnasse. It seemed simple enough but I didn’t know is that it is not connected to the rest of regional railway network which I needed to use. I had to get out of the station and walk to the railway station which was hard to miss but still, this is one of those things which they should have already solved years back.
