I think I had a good time going around Paris. It has been a long day, I came from Strasbourg, to make my way to Paris and then went to Fontainebleau for the afternoon and then back to Paris. That is a lot of traveling. Somehow, I wasn’t as tired as before. Earlier in the day, I dropped my bags at my accommodations in Paris and head out immediately. I didn’t have a room yet at that time so I still need to check in that night. The hotel is the confusingly named B&B Hotel Paris Porte des Lilas. The B&B Hotel is a chain of hotels in France. I have seen one in the city of Reims even if I didn’t stay there.
The closest metro station to this hotel is the Porte des Lilas which is towards the end of one of the metro lines. It was convenient either way since I can easily get to the places I need to get to. The B&B Hotel is in a very modern glass building. It almost doesn’t feel like it is a budget hotel. I will be staying a few days here and I was glad that I found it. The staff was very cheerful and quickly got me a room. My room wasn’t anything fancy but it was nice and clean. I definitely didn’t feel like “just” a budget hotel. They serve breakfast here as well but I didn’t avail of that. I can see if I get stuck in Paris that it would be okay for me to stay here in the hotel. I did bring the work laptop just in case I do get stuck.
