I would be spending the a few days in the city of Strasbourg. I thought it would be a good base to explore the surrounding area, not to mention that it is also a great place to be in. Strasbourg could be thought as France’s Christmas capital. I have never seen any city with that many Christmas markets, I am pretty sure that I would be going to the markets in the next couple of days. Since I would be in the area for a few days, I thought to take it easy for a bit. I do not have to keep visiting all the important places else I would get exhausted and it wouldn’t be that much of a vacation, won’t it.
The next day, I decided to take a trip outside Strasbourg. There are a few destinations within reach of Strasbourg, for now, I am going to the city of Nancy. Apparently, it is one of the larger cities here in the area. While Strasbourg would be considered part of the region of Alsace, Nancy on the other hand is considered part of the region of Lorraine. It is not surprising that Nancy is a bit further out from Strasbourg. Fortunately, Strasbourg is well connected and there are trains going to the city. This time, it won’t be the super fast trains but normal fast trains. The trip takes around an hour but I was in no hurry.
