I will be traveling to the city of Reims which will serve as my base for the next two days. There will be a few places within Reims that I want to visit and it will make it convenient to stay there. There didn’t seem to be a direct train from Paris to Reims. The easiest way would be to take a train to Champagne-Ardenne station and transfer to a regional train to Reims. My TGV train travels so fast that I made it to Champagne-Ardenne in no time. This is good because I didn’t even bother taking my backpack off since I will be changing trains anyway.
The station itself wasn’t anything special. It didn’t feel like it was a major station as everything is pretty much open air here. I didn’t need to go outside the station since my next train is in the next platform. There are colorful regional trains here obviously for tourists. It seems that the Champagne region is quite popular. Looking at these trains convinced me that I made the right choice to come here. The regional trains here are much smaller than the TGV I just got out of. There were considerably less passengers in the regional train as well. At least I don’t have to fight for seats on the train.
