I was glad that I managed to find Gleniff Horseshoe in county Sligo. I won’t be doing any hiking here since I was just here to take photos and admire the magnificent glacial valley. Apart from that, there is very little reason for me to stay here. The sun was out so it was getting quite warm. I thought that it might be good to just head to the sea, perhaps the breeze would be cooler there. I didn’t realize that I was already quite high up since I was mostly heading downhill. I was heading towards the seaside village of Mullaghmore.
I am no stranger to Mullaghmore, I have been here several times and I know that the scenery here can be very good. Since the sun was out, I thought it would be great to take photos of a sunny Mullaghmore for a change. What I wasn’t prepared for was that everyone else seems to be out. Parking was backed up and I had to park by the side of the road again. It seems that people are just coming out today. Not only are the travel restrictions relaxed, but it is also sunny. This rare combination of events made for horrible traffic at Mullaghmore. I don’t think I have seen the place so crowded before.
