I was quite disappointed with my visit to the island of Inishbeg. I was hoping that there would be incredible scenery but it turned out to be to not that great. Sure, there was indeed scenery here, but I think I got spoiled with the spots that when I finally saw the scenic area at Inishbeg Island, I wasn’t that impressed. After all, you would eventually come to expect incredible cliffs and beaches whenever you go around in Ireland. I think I would have given this a pass had I known this beforehand. Anyway, I had a little trouble figuring out how to get out of the island, since the directions weren’t very clear. I thought better signage would have made it better.
Fortunately, Inishbeg is just on the way to another place which I think would be my final stop for the day. I would still have another day of exploring tomorrow, so I think I would stop here and just take it easy the rest of the way. It was getting late in the day and I didn’t want to be late checking into the bed and breakfast. At the very end of the road is a familiar sounding name – Baltimore. This is obviously totally different from the more well known Baltimore in the United States, this Baltimore in county Cork is a small village by the sea and it is known for its harbor. I’m hoping that Baltimore would make up for the disappointment from the last stop.
