Greenhouse at the Inishbeg Self Catering Holiday Homes
Inishbeg is a privately owned island in county Cork. Parts of the island have been developed for tourists, in particular, the Inishbeg Self Catering Holiday Homes. As the name implies, this is a place for families to rent a unit for the weekend for their holiday. There are a lot of these types of places in Ireland but most of the ones I have seen tend to be near the beach. I guess this is a different kind of holiday home. There is a large common area outside the units for outdoor activities. But if you really want to go swimming, there is an indoor pool at the back of the estate.

Behind the living quarters, there is a garden which is open to visitors. To be honest, the garden itself doesn’t look that impressive. Perhaps it is because of lack of regular maintenance because of the pandemic. There are various sections in the garden but it was hard to tell what they were supposed to be. To the left of the garden, there is a greenhouse as well. It seems the plants are still being grown there as well. I would like to visit this place one more time when everything is back to normal. I have a feeling that I would be doing it justice like that.
