I went to visit Lough Hyne which is obviously very popular judging from the number of vehicles in the car park. I think I should still count myself lucky because I was able to find a place to park. Any later and I might have to abandon the visit entirely. It would have been a huge shame because Lough Hyne deserves to be popular. It’s tranquil waters are always a pretty sight. Unsurprisingly, there are quite a few activities to do here. The most popular activity here is unsurprisingly walking. The are a few trails here for people who want to explore Lough Hyne, including one which goes up a steep hill just beside the lake.
Another activity which seems to be popular here is paddleboarding. There were a lot of people here with their boards waiting for their turn on the water. Because it is a lake, the water here is very calm making it ideal for such activities. On the far end of the lake, I can see that there are also canoes or kayaks left here. Like paddleboarding, it is great to be canoeing in the very peaceful lake. Much as I would have liked to at least walked the entire length of the walking trail but I wasn’t sure how long that would have took. I would have to be content to take photos of the lake and the surrounding structures.
