I have been traveling along the West Cork Coastal Road for a while now, and finally realize that I might not be able to visit all of the spots along the way. I would probably have to drop a lot of places since there was limited time. Besides, I was getting tired of driving around. I would have been driving around Cork for a few days now and even if I was just sitting around in the car, it does get exhausting. I decided to just pick the major spots along the way and maybe a few minor ones if it is convenient.
Most of the places I visited were almost exclusively connected to the sea. I have seen beaches, cliffs all of them were connected to sea. It is no surprise since I am following the Wild Atlantic Way. Interestingly, there is one spot here which one might not associate with the sea – a lake, or more accurately, a lough as it is called here. Lough Hyne is a lake along the Wild Atlantic Way and it will be my next destination. It seems that is is a very popular place as parking as overflowing with me having to park like everyone else – off the side of the road. I think I would be in fore a treat this time.
