Toe Head Bay is a discovery point along the Wild Atlantic Way but I didn’t find it that interesting. The view was not that great, just a view of the Toe Head Bay. There weren’t cliffs here at the viewpoint here. When you compared it to the other places along the Wild Atlantic Way, this is probably one of the less interesting ones. At last, I found out that there is nothing to see here, better than having to wonder what is at Toe Head until the end of time. I didn’t stay too long since I still have to keep going west. Having seen parts of the Cork coast, I’m sure there would be something to make me forget about Toe Head.
I knew that it would be a matter of time before I would see something interesting and I was right. I soon found myself passing by quite a few holiday homes. That’s when I realized that there is probably something interesting in the area. This area is called Tragumna. I thought that the name is very un-Irish apart from the “tra” which I believe means beach. Soon enough I was entering what seem to be a port area of Tragumna. There is a small beach beside the port. I thought to take photos here.
