The moment I parked the car at the village of Timoleague, I immediately head straight to the ruins of the Timoleague Abbey. It was the first structure I noticed as I was driving in the village. It is also the most popular as most of the visitors will definitely end up here. The abbey is already in ruins and I managed to get a look inside the ruins. By the time I was finished, I thought to get some food to eat. I was hoping that there would be some food truck here but they only have a coffee truck which was no good do me. So I decided to take a look around the village to see if there is anywhere I could get food.
While I was going around, I took the chance to take photos of the area. What I immediately noticed that the shops here are brightly colored. This was the same as the shops are the Kinsale town center and it seems to be a pattern that is common here in Cork. I would think that these brightly colored shops are more for tourism purposes because they are really very attractive. I think it makes for a pretty looking Irish village. Unfortunately, much of the village lacks life since most of the shops are not open because of the pandemic. What’s worse was that I still couldn’t find any shop that even has takeaway food.
