I was happy enough exploring the old town of Kinsale. I was impressed with the number of heritage structures which have been preserved here even though I know that I didn’t go through everything. What was disappointing was that the sky wasn’t nice and blue. However, it seems that the heavens finally obliged. By the time I was leaving Kinsale, the sun was already out and about. All of a sudden my impression of Kinsale changed. Initially I was unimpressed with the town since it was almost about to rain when I first got here but now I can see how pretty it can be.
The town of Kinsale is built along the shores of the River Bandon. This made it a perfect place for ships to visit. In fact, there are a lot of boats docked here at the marina, proving that it’s roots as a maritime center still live on. What I didn’t know what that there is a promenade here where you can walk along the river and you get the appreciate the river in it is full beauty. I looked enviously as I saw the beautiful scene at the marina unfold while I was driving out of the town. It is a pity that I didn’t find a parking spot to let me stop and take photos. By this time, it seems that the whole town of Kinsale is already out. There were a lot of people by now and who can blame them, it is really that pretty.
