I feel blessed to be living in the wild county of Donegal. The county is considered to be remote and untamed. Because of this, there are a lot of places to visit here that not a lot of people know about. And even if you have heard of the place, it would not be easy to get to. One of these places is the Bloody Foreland. With a name like that, I would imagine that the land would be all reddish. I decided to pay it a visit. It in the north western corner of the county and it is actually accessible via national highway. The most visible marker here is the Wild Atlantic Way marker which the highway passes.
The marker is actually a viewpoint for the rest of the area. It is actually quite high here, so you can see a lot of the area. It is very windy here since it is totally exposed here. I had difficulty getting proper shots here because of the constant wind. It is strange because the sky was rather clear and it was getting good colors on the water. It seems that it is possible to make your way down to the water but I think it is a bit too far. Besides, I prefer taking photos from above. I think there are much more interesting.
