The reason why I revisited McSwyne’s Castle was that I wanted to see Saint John’s Point. I remember seeing signs to the place as I was making my way to Killybegs in Donegal. I finally got the time to go visit the place but not before a short stopover at McSwyne’s Castle. This was actually not the first time I visited Saint John’s Point. More accurately, this was not the first time I been to Saint John’s Point. I was here a previous time but by the time I got there, it was already dark and raining and I decided not to continue with the visit. This time around, the weather was much better, at least a McSwyne’s Castle, but it turned overcast by the time I got to Saint John’s Point.
The weather changed that much as I went down the road from McSwyne’s Castle. It is annoying how quick the weather changes here. As I have come to know, as long was it is not raining, it is good time to go out. Saint John’s Point is at the end of a small peninsula of county Donegal. From the parking lot, you can already see that there is a lighthouse here but I want to see if there is anything else to see here. I can tell that it seems to be well known spot since there are a lot of people here. In particular, there are people learning how to scuba dive here. I’m not sure what makes this place special compared to other places but you can see that there are lessons being conducted here.
