Rugged Cliffs at Horn Head

The first time I visited Horn Head, the weather wasn’t that great. This time around, the weather is much better, in fact, the sun could even come out anytime. I was looking forward to a nice day in Horn Head, hopefully I would stay dry. As I was making my way down from the carpark, I noticed two people in the distance near the cliff edge. They seem to be photographers, so I thought they might know a good spot to take photos. Getting to them was more difficult than I thought. I tried looking for a trail but that didn’t get anywhere. I ended up having to walk over thick bushes. This is more difficult than it sounded because the bushes could be quite tall and I would know how deep it would be on the other side.

Somehow, I managed to find my way to their spot. Indeed they seemed to have found a nice spot. It is in the middle of two large cliffs and you can see both sides from that spot. The photographers were very friendly and they did give me a few tips, including not going too close to the edge. Apparently, someone fell to their death here sometime back. I didn’t know if it was because they lost their footing or it was a rogue wind. However, what was important was that the deceased was someone who is used to these kinds of places so I think it serves as a warning to always keep your wits about you and be careful where you go. If it looks dangerous, then it probably is.
