In my continuing journey across West Cork, I came across another seaside village called Tragumna. The only knew about this place because there were several holiday homes set up here. Surely if people are willing to holiday here, it probably means that it is going to be nice here. Immediately, I knew that it is going to be better than Toe Head. The weather probably helps now because the clouds have started to clear. Now, I can see the attractive blue color of the waters here. The land is also closer to the water as well giving you a more private feeling. What’s more there is a large parking area to support numerous beach goers.
Having said that, there wasn’t as many visitors here as I though there would. I was the only one at the car park. It happens to be right beside the water also, which is perfect of taking photos. You can see how clear and deep the waters are here. To the right you can see the beach itself. You can see how narrow the swimming area here is. This makes me think that it is probably a good place for swimming as there won’t be much waves here. Tragumna isn’t a large village so there aren’t a lot of facilities here. This is probably best for people who brings everything with them. Don’t expect restaurants here, but be prepared to enjoy doing everything yourself.
