I was making my way down the mountain from Coomanaspic Pass. You get a great view of the area around Portmagee. That is just one side of the mountain. The other side of the mountain just as clear but arguably, it has an even better view. This side has a road which zigzags across the mountain as it goes down. Along the way, you would be treated to magnificent views of the ocean. The coastal scenery here is particularly picturesque. The sun was already quite low and the shadows were long giving more contrast to the houses along the coast. I was lucky that the sun was out a lot of times. And I managed get get some nice shots.
As I was making my way down. There was a small peninsula which seem to stick out rather prominently into the sea. This area is called The Glen. The peninsula is quite prominent because it has sheer cliffs on on side. It didn’t seem to be very high but they were high enough to make photos look good. I wasn’t exactly sure where I should be going but I was just following to road to see where it brings me. There is a sign which points to the Glen Pier and you can drive right on to the pier if you want to. There were no ships or boats at the time so I think it would be okay to drive right in.
