I drove through the Black Valley and I didn’t really see anything that interesting. The views were not bad since there were snow capped mountains around but Black Valley itself doesn’t much to see, it seems like it just a place to pass through. As I was looking at the map planning my next move, I noticed that the road I was on was named the Gap of Dunloe. I was aware of this Gap of Dunloe and I was intending to go there after this but I didn’t realize that I was already going there. Because I was on the Black Valley floor, the only way out is up. I found the road was slowly climbing up.
I didn’t really know what to expect since the the road was going up, until it wasn’t. I ended up at a high point in the road where the rest of the road goes down. From here I can see the actual Gap of Dunloe. There is a road which threads between the two mountains. There wasn’t a real stopping area here so I need to stop just by the side of the road. Be careful stopping here since the sides of the road can be rocky and steep, you don’t want to damage your vehicle because you parked incorrectly while you were out taking photos of the Gap of Dunloe.
