Hiking to Torc Waterfall

Water from the Torc Waterfall

The weather wasn’t that good that morning in the town of Killarney. I was hoping I would get blue skies but there was no such thing. I probably don’t need it that much yet because I’m heading to the Torc Waterfall which doesn’t need a lot of sunlight to appreciate it. I remembered the previous days which was also another wet day and I got my shoes all muddy because I was walking on wet soil. Needless to say, that soil turned into mud once I stepped on it. I was afraid it would be the same here in Torc Waterfall, however the path wasn’t muddy ground which is good. There were a few puddles here and there but it was good overall.

Green Trees at Torc Waterfall

Visitors would be walking through a forest of trees which are green. Of course, they are green, they’re trees. I mean even the tree trunks are green. There was moss growing on the barks of the trees which turned then into a eerie green. This is probably because of the water which the waterfall generates and it made the tree trunks ideal for growing moss. The trail isn’t that long because before long you would hear the sound of crashing water. The trail does go slightly higher as you can see the river below move further and further away from you. I was afraid I might be in for a long hike but you can easily get there in a few minutes.
