I drove almost six hours to the town of Killarney in the southern part of Ireland. It was smooth driving despite the not so nice weather along the way. There was still a bit of wintry weather left and I got some snow showers along the way. When I got off the motorway from Limerick, there was bad traffic in the town of Adara because of construction work. I was stuck there for a while before managing to get through. I don’t know if there was any other way to get around the construction but everyone seems to be stuck there as well. I didn’t need the satnav for most of the way, I only had to pull it out when I was already in the town of Killarney itself. It won’t be easy feeling your way through the middle of a busy town while driving.
My accommodations, Randles Hotel Killarney, is a nice hotel just outside the town center itself. I usually go for a bed and breakfast but I managed to get a good deal here so I thought I might as well treat myself to a stay at a hotel. The room was described to be petite, that means it is probably small. The description is accurate. I can’t get a proper photo of the bedroom because there wasn’t room to do so. It looks like the room was created after they discovered this small piece of building which was leftover after creating all the other rooms. I am not complaining though. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and it has all I need. It is beside a service elevator though so there might be a little noise if someone goes there, but the room itself is away from the main hallway of the hotel.
