It was the day I would be departing Marrakesh. My trip started out quite rough with me falling behind badly on my itinerary for the for two days. Eventually, things settled down and I started enjoying the sights of the country. Morocco was a surprisingly convenient place to go around in. I was thinking that I would be needing a car to visit most of the important sights but this is not true. I got around by public transportation and there was very little hassle in doing so.
On the day of my flight out of Morocco, I didn’t really do any touring. I was just going around the medina and looking at the shops. For lunch, I repeated at the Chez Lamine for one final serving of roast lamb. Before checking out of Riad Bousskri. I was asked if I would like to hire a taxi to go to the airport. However, I already knew that there is a bus which brings me straight to the airport not very far from the medina gate. I waited quite a while for the bus only to see two of them go the other way. Turns out the bus only goes one way and I need to board it on the opposite side, thanks to some students.
The bus brings me straight to the airport but I got off a little early as soon as I saw the airport terminal building. Unfortunately, the airport is surrounded by walls, so I needed to go around the airport complex to get to the main gate. I wasn’t sure where the bus would have let me of had I stayed on for one more stop. This is probably the one last mistake I would make traveling in Morocco. However, this gave me a chance to take a photo of the beautiful Marrakesh Menara Airport.
