When I first entered the Jardin Majorelle, I sneered at the garden because I couldn’t believe they would charge that much to see this mere garden. It is owned by a famous fashion designer but I was still unimpressed. I would have thought that a garden owned by a famous designer would be more, you know, stylish. It wasn’t really the case since the Jardin Majorelle looked more like an ordinary garden. Apparently I wasn’t really paying too much attention to the plants which are on display here. Unsurprisingly, a lot of the plants here in the garden at native to this part of Africa. However, there seemed to be much more than that.
I was trying to make my way out of the garden when I passed by another garden. This time it was displaying various cacti. I don’t think I have seen this many kinds of cacti in one place. To me, cactus is cactus and I could never tell them apart. However, looking at these cacti, you get to see the many different kinds of cacti there are. Not everything is from Africa, there are several which have come from other parts of the world. Immediately, I began to recall photos of various cactus which I have seen over the years, except these are real. It is actually very tempting to touch them because they are so unique, but you know that visitors are forbidden to touch the plans. Some of the cacti here are very tall, it kind of makes me want to go on a desert trip.
