The Atlantic coast of Rabat is quite long and I don’t think it would be possible for me to walk the entire length. There are probably more interesting places there but I need to turn back to the city and see the rest of the sights. I don’t know much about the city layout apart from what is near the old medina. I thought that best way to walk back is to retrace my steps and walk along the promenade. It is not surprising that the promenade is a popular place for the locals. I thought that it was really well made.
There were several stalls here for strollers. There was a fancy looking restaurant here so you can eat by the riverside. Further downstream is the even fancier Le Dhow which an actual restaurant in a boat. I obviously would not want to spend for something like that. I went for a more affordable option – a juice stand. Morocco really surprised me, I was under the impression that it would be largely a desert country but this isn’t the case. They are very fond of fruits and they seem to have that in abundance. I got myself some juice and sat by the river. The juice wasn’t that cold though but I’m not complaining.
