The garden at the Kasbah of the Udayas wasn’t the oasis of tranquility that I hoped it would be. There was a huge group of students who were on a school trip. They probably staked out every single corner and shade in the garden. Either way, it was too noisy for me there so I continued on to other parts of the kasbah. There wasn’t really any other way here but to that prominent building near the garden. This leads to a enclosed area which turned out to be a museum. There is a nice traditional courtyard here which is far more pleasant than the garden earlier.
If you are so inclined, you can also have a look at the museum nearby. There various exhibits here which are basically modern art. I was hoping for the more traditional type of art but these aren’t that bad. I think it would be interesting to see their modern art as well. I am no art critic here but I would like to think that I would know what is nice and what is not. The more abstract type of art confuses me so I tend to stay away from that. It is not an extensive exhibit but I guess it was worth a look.
