I was so enthralled by the beauty and elegance of the Al-Attarine Madrasa that I completely forgot that there are other parts here in the madrasa. It is possible to climb up to the upper floors of the school. For a school, it doesn’t look like there is a lot of space in here. There is probably a lot more open space here than indoor space. Still, it would be nice to be able to look around the rest of the madrasa. Immediately, you would see that the interiors weren’t as fancy as the ones you see outside. It would almost seem like the outside was meant to impress others. There halls here in the upper floors were narrow. It is almost like only one person can pass through in certain parts.
What I noticed were some strangely positioned windows. Rather than being level with the upper body of a person, the window is actually on the level of the floor. This means, that if you want to look out the window you have to crouch really low to see the outside. I wasn’t sure what the intention of this window is but it is it really bizarre to see it. You can also see some rooms here in the upper floor. I looks like people can stay here but considering the number of rooms available here I don’t think they can accommodate a lot of people.
