It was finally the day I depart from Glacier. I stayed here longer than I thought I would. I would normally hop from one place to another but this is probably a first for me. I understand that some people would stay in Glacier for up to two weeks. I understand that it would be great to be able to do that since there are a lot of other places which I haven’t been to. I would probably be able to hike more place had there be more time. One thing that I didn’t do here was camp outdoors but that is probably something too much for me. It would be difficult to do that on your own, probably even dangerous especially in this area where bears abound.
I was quite happy with the place at Lake Five. It was much larger than I needed but it is still very much appreciated. I have never stayed at a log cabin before. It was a bonus that it was actually by a lake. It was still early in the morning and I went to the shores of Lake Five to have a last look. There was mist rising from the water giving it a surreal look. It makes it appear like the water if very hot. This is caused by lake water condensing into mist by the cold morning air. I have never seen anything like it in person and it is a fascinating phenomenon to witness.
