Two Medicine Lake is one of the more well known lakes here in Glacier National Park. Having said that, there weren’t that many visitors when I was there. Perhaps it was still a bit early in the day and that it was already the end of the tourist season that there weren’t that many people here. I thought that Lake McDonald, being the most popular lake in the park didn’t have a lot of visitors but Two Medicine Lake has even less visitors. This is all good so I would have to battle through crowds of tourists to get photos. Once again, the main activity here in the park is to hike.
There is a well known hike here in Two Medicine Lake and it is a short one. Actually there are a number of hikes which start from the car park at Two Medicine Lake but I’m only opting for the shorter one. I was traveling alone and I didn’t want to get into trouble by running into bears. The hike to Paradise Point sounds like a very enticing one. It goes through some dense forest but there is already a well worn path here. Major turns in the trail are marked so you know where to go. Paradise Point is just a short hike, so take the time to enjoy your hike through the forest before reaching the destination. There would be clearings every now and then, so you can see the surrounding mountains here including what remains of some glaciers.
