Many Glacier is another village in Glacier National Park which isn’t too far from East Glacier. I figured that since I was already here I might as well try to see if I can make it to Many Glacier which is supposedly another beautiful spot. I was actually having second thoughts on going here since I thought it would be better to just dedicate a day to visiting Many Glacier however, the day was still early and I don’t know if the beautiful weather would hold up. There was rain forecast for the next few days, I think I should just make the trip.
Like a lot of these villages in Glacier National Park, Many Glacier is also in close proximity to another lake. This time, it is Swiftcurrent Lake. I don’t think I need much explanation as to why it was given that name. However, before hitting Swiftcurrent Lake, visitors would pass along the shores of Lake Sherburne. This was a surprisingly longer drive than I thought it would be. I thought that I would be hitting Many Glacier immediately but I didn’t know how large or how long Lake Sherburne would be. Many Glacier is dominated by the lakeside scenery of Swiftcurrent Lake. Mount Wilbur in the center is the main peak, while Many Glacier Hotel is the perfect place to stay in Many Glacier, in fact, it is probably the only place to stay in this village.
