Logan Pass is one of the most popular spots here in the Going to the Sun Road. It is usually advised that visitors come here as early as they could to make sure that they have a parking spot. In fact, a website I saw advised that people go straight to Logan Pass before making their way to the other places because Logan Pass is that popular. I was unable to get there that early since the Logan Pass was closed from Avalanche Lake to Logan Pass. This is basically the direction would I would be coming from. This meant that I would have to go around the entire park to enter the park from the east. By the time I arrived, it was already midday, so I didn’t have time to spare.
Logan Pass is the launching point for one of the most popular hikes in the park. I was looking up which hikes I would be doing and it seems that Hidden Lake is one of the most recommended ones. It is also considered an easy hike so I should be fine. The hike starts of as a nice wooden walkway which then turns into a nice little path which winds its way up the mountain. I wasn’t expecting there to be a lot of climbing but I soon found myself already huffing and puffing as soon as I started. I was probably really out of shape to already be tired after just starting. As always, I needed to steel my resolve and push on. To be honest, it didn’t look that difficult, maybe I would get into the groove once I hike more.
