Wild Goose Island is a great introduction to the beauty of Glacier National Park. I was very lucky to be here when the sky is clear and one could not get a bad photograph here. The lakes and the mountains make for very picturesque scenery that you couldn’t help but stare and the raw beauty of nature. I realized that Glacier National Park is part of the Rocky Mountain range. I have heard of the Rockies for the longest time but never did I think that I would be able to visit it or at least part of it. The Rocky Mountain Range is the longest mountain range in North America and it spans across several states.
I don’t think I have been close to mountains that much, I would have visited a few tall ones but those were few in between. I like the majesty of mountains and I guess I could not get enough of them. Combine them with the beauty of the lakes here in Glacier National Park and we got a winner here. The Going to the Sun Road winds it way through these mountains as it cuts a path from West Glacier to East Glacier. As for me, I was going the opposite direction. The features of the mountains here incredible to look at. Fortunately, I have the whole day to explore the Going to the Sun Road.
