Docks on the Shores of Lake Minnetonka
I found myself on a cruise ship with my colleagues. I didn’t really feel like going, but since everybody seems to be going, it probably won’t be so bad. I was never really into cruise ships, especially the gigantic ships since it feels like you are paying to stay on a ship/hotel all the time. I know that the cruise ships go somewhere but it still feels like you would be stuck on the ship for a long time. Now, the ship here at the Port of Excelsior isn’t as large as those that ply the seas. This one is more for just going out into the lake for an hour or two and that’s it. There would be no hotel or resort on the boat.
Lake Minnetonka
The departure point is the port of Excelsior a city on the shores of Lake Minnetonka. I have no idea how large the lake is but since it was already autumn, I thought the trip would be pointless since it would be dark very soon. The good thing about cruising on a lake is that the water would be calm making it a great time to relax. It was still warm this time of the year so there were a lot of insects. Being near the water probably just makes it worse. I was hoping the it would be much better the sooner we get out to the lake. The cruise ship itself has two levels and it even has a built in bar. The cruise also comes with dinner which is basically pizza.
