I went to the commercial district of Ximending to get my fill of Hot Star Fried Chicken. It wasn’t a disappointment and it was probably better than I thought it would be. It was fortunate that they have a branch here in Ximending since I have been planning to come here. Ximending is probably Taipei’s most famous shopping district. You can tell just from the number of people who come here. I arrived in Ximending and it was already crowded with people. You probably won’t notice that it was already dark since there a lights everywhere. I feels like a Times Square but for Taipei.
Right from getting off the metro, you can tell that this would be a very busy place. Visitors would come in droves here for their shopping. Outside the train station, there are massive billboards all of which try to grab your attention. I think I should have expected this but I wasn’t prepared for the massive amount of people here in Ximending. Fortunately, the past few days have been reintroduction to life in the big city. There is a lot of shopping to be had here but I doubt I would buy anything other than food.
