I finally checked in and my first meal in the city of Taipei. It was a point at the food type of place and it has been ages since I have last been to a place like there. The food at these kinds of places tend to be mediocre though, but that it not to say it was bad. I know that Taiwan is known for their snacks and street food, I was hoping to be able to try out this street food while I am here. However, that would have to wait until that evening. I was hoping to make the most of the day here in Taipei. It was winter time in Taipei and people were all wearing winter clothes. I think I have gotten used to the cold that I didn’t feel chilly at all. At least it is not that warm however, it was still good enough for shorts.
I don’t really remember much about Taipei. The last time I visited Taiwan was when I was still a kid. We we just brought to the places and I don’t remember much about it. This time, I would need to plan my own trip. My first stop would be Lungshan Temple Going 龍山寺. Apparently, this is the oldest Buddhist temple in Taipei and I think it would be nice to see it. Fortunately, Taipei has an extensive metro system that can bring you to most of the important places in Taipei. The metro map is still manageable for me. I needed to make a couple of transfers to get to the temple and with the help of Google Maps, I was able to find the place.
