It felt like ages since I was last in Asia and frankly it was a nice change of scenery as well. I thought to visit Taiwan for a while. I have visited the place long time back and I honestly can’t remember much about it anymore. I know that it has turned into an economic powerhouse and it has modernized a lot since I was last there. My impression of Taiwan would be it would be a lot of Japan, except they speak Chinese. After a long cross continental flight to Taiwan, I finally arrived at the airport. It was pretty much easy going from there. Transport systems were well connected here that I was on the metro before I knew it.
My accommodations is at the city of New Taipei, yes, that confused me too. Anyway, there is a metro line which would bring me to accommodations and I thought it was easy enough for figure out. I think I am already used to these types of transport systems that once you have tried one, you would be able to figure out the others. What I didn’t know was that the train would be passing through some rural areas and I got a good look at the countryside of Taipei. The feel is very different from a Hong Kong or a Singapore. It feels like life is so much slower here in Taiwan. I think I would find out more about this place soon.
