It seems that we have been traveling the whole morning. We spent some time in a few notable places in Sintra that before we knew it, it was already past lunchtime. Of course our tour guide knew where to bring us. We wanted cheap and good, so that’s where he brought us. We were brought to a residential area somewhere in Sintra. I noticed a place seemed to have a lot of bicycles parked outside. Despite its appearances, this place seems to be quite popular especially among cyclists. The restaurant itself was very simple in fact, it felt very familiar.
The restaurant felt much like those roadside eateries which I would see in Asia. There was a chiller off to the side which displays raw meat. As you might expect, you pick whatever you want and they would prepare it for you. We had pork and sardine. Admittedly, the food was pretty good. In fact, I think it was just as good as any places I have been in Portugal. It goes to show you don’t have to pay top dollar or euro to get decent food here in Portugal. There is a viewing area not too far from the restaurant. It seems that we are already high up the hill. We took a few photos and left.
