It seems that our tour guide has a problem, he wants us to enjoy the sights as much as possible but there is still a list of places we needed to go to. In the end, we left the Quinta da Regaleira to move on to another sight. Sintra seems to have an abundance of places to see and one really needs to spend at least a day exploring this place. Having your own transportation really helps in saving time but it is probably better to just hire your transport when you get here rather than bringing your own since there is a dire lack of parking in Sintra considering the number of visitors it gets. It seems that traffic grinds to a halt during the peak tourist season.
Our tour guide whisked us off to another destination which I honestly couldn’t remember. He didn’t really do much tour guiding as in talking about the sights but it was more of having a local friend bringing you around the place. I think this is nice as well but the thing is I don’t know the name of the place anymore. I needed to look it up afterwards to know what it was. Apparently, the place was Seteais Palace. This is yet another mansion built on top of the hills of Sintra. I wasn’t sure what to see here but it is also part of the UNESCO World Heritage site list.
